Life is too short for short lashes! Grow longer, thicker and healthier eyelashes with Latisse®!
Latisse for Long, Lush Lashes
Are you lusting for longer, fuller and more dramatic eyelashes? Just like your skin, your eyelashes age over time. They may become shorter, drier and more brittle with each passing year. Latisse® is an FDA approved prescription treatment that is manufactured by Allergan, the creator of BOTOX® Cosmetic. It is used to treat hypertrichosis or inadequate lash growth. With continued use, Latisse® helps your eyelashes grow longer, fuller and possibly darker. It can also improve the health and condition of your lashes and make them more resilient and youthful!
How to Apply Latisse
Just as you would apply liquid eyeliner, Latisse® is brushed on your upper lash line every evening before bed. Your prescription comes with a supply of small, disposable applicators that you can use for this process to ensure that you are not introducing any bacteria to your eye area. The active ingredient that helps your eyelashes grow in Latisse® is called bimatoprost ophthalmic solution. It works by gradually increasing and extending your lash’s growth cycle which allows them to become longer and appear thicker with time.
Although you may see an increase in lash length with Latisse® in as little as four weeks, full results occur at 16 weeks. It is essential to continue to apply your prescription each evening for full lengthening and thickening effects. Once your maximum length and fullness are achieved, Katie will discuss your ideal maintenance program with Latisse® to ensure your lashes stay gorgeous all year long!
*Latisse® Safety & Possible Side Effects
In rare cases, Latisse® may cause darkening of the iris of the eye or the skin at your lash line. This pigmentation may be permanent. Be sure only to apply Latisse® to your upper lash line. DO NOT apply to the lower lash line. In some cases, hair may grow outside of the treatment area. If you experience any of these symptoms or itchy/red eyes, please discontinue use immediately and contact Katie McClellan PA-C.
