Wharton's Jelly is a cutting-edge injectable treatment that goes beyond the benefits of traditional PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin). It stimulates the production of Type 1 collagen (for skin strength and elasticity) and Type 3 collagen (for improved skin structure and thickness), which is vital for youthful, firm skin. Moreover, the unique formula enhances fibrin production, helping to strengthen the skin's extracellular matrix and promote faster tissue regeneration. Wharton's Jelly also includes stem cells and hyaluronic acid, which hydrate and plump the skin for immediate improvements.

What is Wharton's Jelly?
Do I need to have my blood drawn for Wharton's Jelly?
No! Unlike traditional PRP/PRF, our Wharton's Jelly product is supplied by a biologics company named Platinum Biologics, which conducts extensive testing and sterilization of its products, eliminating the need for us to draw your blood.
What should I expect before my Wharton's Jelly injection appointment?
- Try to avoid any blood-thinning products for one week before your appointment, such as fish oil/omega-3, vitamin E, and NSAIDs (Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aspirin). Alcohol and smoking can also increase your chances of bruising.
- Arnica Montana (Arnicare) is an herbal product that helps minimize swelling and bruising. It is available in both topical and oral tablet forms. Take the oral tablets at least 2 days before filler to help minimize bruising.
- Don’t schedule your Wharton’s Jelly treatment within two weeks of a special event. We want to ensure there is sufficient time for healing before these events.
- You may come in with makeup on, but it will be removed in areas that have been injected.
What should I expect during my Wharton's Jelly injections?
- Your provider will review the procedure again during your visit and ask if you have any questions before proceeding.
- The procedure typically takes 30 minutes or less, depending on the number of areas being treated.
- Ice will be used to ease any discomfort associated with the injection process during your appointment.
- This procedure is more comfortable than traditional PRP with less swelling and pain. Most patients say the pain is 1/10 on a pain scale.
What should I expect after my Wharton's Jelly appointment?
- Swelling immediately after the procedure is not uncommon. This usually goes down within the first couple of hours to two days.
- Bruising can also occur. This may take up to two weeks to resolve, depending on individual responses.
- You can lightly ice the areas that were injected for five minutes, two to four times a day, for two to three days after the Wharton’s Jelly is placed. Do not apply firm pressure with the ice; keep it light and gentle.
- Try to sleep with your head elevated by placing another pillow under it for the first few nights to reduce swelling.
- Apply and/or take arnica until bruising and swelling are gone.
- You may shower and wash your face as usual. Makeup and moisturizers can also be worn after injections.
- Avoid exercising for 24 hours.
- Drinking plenty of water and avoiding a high salt diet will help minimize swelling.
- Use Tylenol (acetaminophen) for any discomfort.
- The collagen and fibrin stimulation will begin to show approximately six weeks after the procedure, with continued improvement over the following six months.
How often should I do Wharton's Jelly injections?
For your initial treatment, we recommend a series of three sessions that are spaced approximately six weeks apart. After that, it depends on your response and need, but most individuals benefit from doing a treatment annually.
